MCHD is pleased to welcome Dr. Emily Jack to our medical staff. Beginning December 8th, Dr. Jack will bring her expertise in primary care to Pioneer Memorial Clinic, located at 130 Thompson Ave in Heppner, OR. In addition, Dr. Jack will assume the roles of Medical Director of Hospice and Medical Staff Director after the first of the year.

Dr. Emily Jack, a proud Heppner local, has returned to her roots to serve the community. She graduated from Heppner Jr/Sr High School in 2010, attended the Oregon State University Honors College, and furthered her education at OHSU School of Medicine. After graduating in 2019, she completed a 3-year residency at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in Boise.

Dr. Jack's upbringing in Heppner has instilled in her a deep sense of commitment to Morrow County. "I am so excited to serve my patients in my hometown. My mom has been a nurse here for over 35 years, and I truly love the sense of community in Heppner. I value getting to know my patients and their families in this context. I know firsthand that there can be gaps in healthcare in rural areas and feel very passionate about helping to fill those gaps by providing complete patient-centered care."

Dr. Jack's approach to healthcare is rooted in patient empowerment. She is passionate about helping her patients feel confident in their healthcare through education and preventive care. "Healthcare is truly so personal, and it's so important to see the patient as a whole. I like to empower my patients so we can make realistic and goal-driven health decisions together."

While she provides full-spectrum primary care including to women and children, Dr. Jack has a passion for preventive health care. She understands that by addressing health risks early, preventive care can significantly improve overall health outcomes. "Good preventive health ensures that individuals can live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. It empowers people to make informed decisions about their lifestyle and healthcare, promoting overall well-being."

In her spare time, Dr. Jack enjoys fishing in the mountains, helping her family on their local cattle ranch, and spending time with her young family.
