James Hejmanowski, MD attended medical school at University of Illinois College of Medicine, and was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1992. He spent 9 years as a Family Practice physician in office and hospital with obstetrics, then worked 5 years as a full-time Emergency Department physician and Medical Director. He then spent 10 years as a Locum or “fill in” Hospitalist, traveling to Illinois, Colorado, and Wyoming to support rural hospital systems. Before starting with Morrow County Health District, he worked in Cheyenne, WY as a Hospitalist, and Medical Director of Hospice and Palliative Care. He and his family have decided to return to their roots, and restart again in a rural community. Throughout his life, Dr. Jim has always enjoyed being a member of a small, tightly knit community with a common goal. Dr. Jim enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, camping and programming computers in his free time.
