Chief Financial Officer
Morrow County Health District is accepting applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer. $116,562.00 - $131,879.00 per year with COLA July 1. Position is located at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner, OR, a rural NE Oregon community and county seat with excellent schools and quality of life. With the Blue Mountains 20 minutes away and the Columbia River an hour north, a multitude of outdoor recreation is available year-round.
This position is responsible for the control of District assets and the preparation of complete and accurate financial information records. The CFO directs and supervises several related areas. Negotiates, implements, and monitors all third party Payor contracts. Also provides oversight, along with the CEO, for Willow Creek Valley Assisted Living Corp (WCVALC) finances, budgeting, and insurance coverages. The CFO participates as a member of the Executive Committee.
Responsibilities include maintaining appropriate accounting systems to provide complete, timely, and accurate financial information, Developing, implementing, and maintaining budgeting process including monitoring and reporting of District and departmental performance, Responsible for accumulating information and preparing schedules required by the District’s Auditors for the audit and cost report preparation, Responsible for ensuring filing of all mandated reports with the state and other government agencies i.e. Quarterly payroll taxes, 340B State Medicaid Reporting, Databank, Annual Hospital Surveys, Hospital Provider Tax, School Based Health Center, and Community Benefit..
Position requirements: Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting, business, or finance preferred. Minimum of 5 years prior Accounting and Management experience required.
Proficiency in payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accounting is required. Excellent interpersonal skills to relate effectively with department heads, providers, administration, and the public on a continual basis. Must have the ability to direct and supervise the activities of subordinates. Coordinate all lending needs of the District. Must be computer literate and possess the ability to learn computer applications as necessary and other office equipment. Must be bondable.
