October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Did you know that studies show 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime? There are many things you can do to reduce your risk factors and aid in early detection including eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, doing self-exams monthly and having your Mammogram done yearly. Morrow County Health District strives to help raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Help us make a difference and encourage your family and friends to get their Mammogram. Early detection saves lives!
