Dr. Kenneth Wenberg has been providing medical services for Morrow County Health District since 1987. He received his undergraduate degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI and his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma in Jalisco, Mexico and from Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
He has worked in a variety of areas for the District including Primary Care, Emergency and Urgent Care, and Hospice. He currently assists in providing Emergency Care at Pioneer Memorial Hospital, and says he enjoys the interaction with patients and the variety of patient care needs. The coordination of patient care is also an aspect of the Emergency Department work that he appreciates. Dr. Wenberg also serves as the director of the District’s medical services at the Ione Community Clinic, and works with the Interdisciplinary Group team for Hospice. Other medical interests include community health education and working with young people in church and social activities.
He and his wife, Bonnie, have six children: Erik, Heidi, Lars, Peter, Nels and Mindy, along with 10 grandchildren.
